Active commuting and work ability: A cross-sectional study of chicken meat industry workers in Thailand

There is ample evidence regarding positive health effects of cycling or walking to work (active commuting [AC]). However, little known about the AC on ability. Therefore, we examined 422 Thai chicken meat industry workers who assessed their current ability (CWA) compared lifetime best by assigning scores ranging from 0 10. The CWA was between active and non-active commuters using linear regression, cumulative distributions, quantile regression. Overall, 46 (11%) were commuters. average score 8.2 (standard deviation, 1.3; range, 4–10).
